How to Request Data Deletion

Under UK GDPR and CCPA/CPRA, you have the right to request deletion of your personal data. We process verified deletion requests within 30 days. Where requests are complex or numerous, we may extend by up to 2 further months (GDPR Art. 12(3)); we’ll notify you if we do.

In-App Deletion (fastest)

  1. Open ZenWalk.
  2. Go to Profile → Settings → Delete My Account.
  3. Confirm to permanently remove your account and associated data.

Prefer email? Use the steps below. Note: subscriptions must be cancelled separately in your Apple ID settings.

Important

Data deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. This will delete all your workout history, preferences, and account information. Your subscription must be cancelled separately through Apple.

Steps to Request Deletion (Email)

Send an Email

Send your deletion request to our privacy team at:

Include Required Information

Your email must include the following details:

  • Subject: "Data Deletion Request - ZenWalk"
  • Your full name
  • Email address associated with your ZenWalk account
  • Apple ID used for subscription (if applicable)
  • Confirmation that you understand this action is permanent

Identity Verification

We may request reasonable information to verify you control the account (e.g., email verification via the signed-in device or Apple ID receipt information). This prevents unauthorised deletion.

Confirmation & Timeline

You'll receive a confirmation email within 2 business days. Complete data deletion will occur within 30 days of verification. If extended (up to 2 additional months), we’ll notify you.

Important Notes

  • Your subscription must be cancelled separately through your Apple ID settings.
  • Minimal transaction records may be retained for up to 6 years for legal/tax purposes (UK).
  • Backups are purged within 90 days per our retention policy.
  • Data stored in Apple Health is managed separately by Apple.
